Amboyna Burr Veneer
The Falcon Acoustics Platinum LS3/5a features rare Amboyna Burr veneer, prized for its dense, swirling grain and "bird’s eye" knots. Historically used by Rolls-Royce, this exotic wood offers a 3D depth and rich reddish-brown luster, ensuring every pair is a unique, museum-grade masterpiece.
Cabinet
The cabint is a 12 mm thin wall BBC specification selected grade Baltic Birch ply cabinet made by Italian craftsmen and is finished in a vintage black Tygan cloth grille sourced from a British family business from the north of England.
Capacitors
Falcon specification UK Manufactured Polycarbonate Film capacitors, for the best possible detail, transparency and an ultra-low noise floor. These handwound capacitors are becoming rarer as the industry moves to cheaper alternatives, this is the last opportunity to hear what the BBC wanted the LS3/5A to sound like.
Inductors
Falcon UK Manufactured BBC R&D Spec transformer inductors. Double the size of standard production inductors for better saturation characteristics, lower distortion and improved bass response.

Gold tracked White multi-layer 1.6mm heavyweight Special Edition Gold tracked multi-layer PCB with Gold Pins. Superb sonic accuracy and lowest possible noise floor for exceptional clarity. The Gold plated 2oz tracking has clearly audible sonic benefits particularly in the midrange.
