The Orion-3.4 and Orion-3.5 Kits are the legendary Dipole Open Baffle speaker designed by Siegfried Linkwitz of Linkwitz Lab. Orion-4 is the commercially available version of Orion-3.5. Falcon Acoustics is offering a complete SEAS driver set package at a 10% discount against individual unit prices. Please note that the Peerless 830452 is now discontinued if you want to build the earlier Orion-3.3 version with Peerless XLS 830452 10" Subwoofers.

4 no. Subwoofers - SEAS L26RO4Y D1004-04

SEAS L26RO4Y D1004-04 Subwoofer is a State of the Art 10" aluminum cone extra long throw subwoofer, with low loss rubber surround and 4-layer voice coil on a Glassfibre former, developed jointly by SEAS and Siegfried Linkwitz.

It has its first application in two new versions of the highly acclaimed Linkwitz ORION open baffle loudspeaker, the Dipole Open Baffle Orion 3.4 and Orion 3.5, where the L26RO4Y substantially improves the ORION's bass performance and dynamic capabilities.

Developed from the already excellent chassis, magnet system, cone, and surround of the L26ROY, an all new FEA designed spider and enhanced 4 layer voice coil is wound on a stiff glass fibre former, resulting in a superb driver with ultra long throw, very low distortion, and extremely stable mechanical operation under all conditions including open baffle systems. The low Qts and Fs are ideally suited for active open baffle bass systems.

2 no. Woofers - SEAS W22EX001 E0022

SEAS W22EX001 E0022 Woofer. Excel 8” Precision cast surface treated magnesium cone coupled to a natural rubber surround showing no sign of midrange (edge) resonances.

Heavy copper rings are mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece reduce non linear and modulation distortion and increase overload margin. The extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment.

Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflection, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.

A solid copper phase plug enhances the performance of the copper rings and improves heat conduction away from the pole piece. Gold plated terminals mounted on a glass fibre reinforced plate to reduce contact resistance and improve reliability.

4 no. Tweeters - SEAS T25CF002 E0011-06 MILLENNIUM

SEAS T25CF002 E0011-06 MILLENNIUM Tweeter is a 25mm soft dome tweeter with a unique Neodymium HEXADYM magnet system based on 6 radially magnetized NdFeB magnet blocks.

Featuring highly efficient ventilation and damping of every potentially resonant cavity behind the dome, surround and voice coil, which is generously underhung (±0.5mm) and ensures low distortion even with low crossover frequencies. An optimally shaped and coated fabric dome diaphragm made by SEAS from SONOTEX gives State of the Art performance and consistency, fully justifying its reputation as one of the best tweeters ever made.
